MEASURING FOR SHUTTERS

Inside Mounted

Measure the width inside the opening in three places. Measure the height from the top of the sill to the inside top of the opening in three places. Take the smallest width and height measurements for your shutters.

Outside Mounted

Measure the width from the outside edge of the frame to the other outside edge in three places. Measure from the top of the sill to the outside edge of the frame in three places. Take the largest width and height measurements for your shutters.

FITTING INSTRUCTIONS

INSIDE WINDOW MOUNTING

Step 1

Position the plantation shutter in the window opening, ensuring that it is completely level.
Mark the required positioning of the frame, ideally the shutter should be mounted inside the window opening, flush with the walls.

Step 2

Remove the shutter panels by taking the pins from the hinges.
Drill through the side of the frame on the inside taking care to position according to where you have marked.
Screw the frame to the wall using the appropriate fixings for the type of wall. The frame must be level so you may have to pack out under the frame if the window and cill are not square.

Step 3

Re-attach the doors to the frame by lining up the hinges and re-inserting the hinge pin.
To close securely both panels must be shut at the same time.
If required seal around the frame with white mastic.
